We are back from an extended summer break to kick off season 6-ish with a hot new episode, 5 Good Topics.
We are simply taking the five good minutes from every episode and expanding that so we can jaw about whatever has been on our minds since we wrapped up season 5-ish at the end of July.

The second half our Worldview episode is filled with cultural events, movements and more that are currently dominating the social landscape in America. What will be the lasting impact from the movements we are seeing today?

We love talking about rebooting and reinterpreting certain pieces of entertainment here at The Occasionalists so we decided to dedicate a big two part episode to just that!
We're not just talking reboots either! No sir, we expand this grand pop culture thought experiment to reinterpret all sorts of media. From things we would like to see remade, to swapping famous bodies, inserting our choices for major roles and much more.

It's been awhile since we've had a sports discussion as the global pandemic has at one point in time halted every major sport worldwide. As America begins to pick up the pieces of a lost season, Chemma and I are absolutely foaming at the mouth to discuss the goings on in all of our major sports. 
How eager were we to talk about the challenges facing each sport and what things will look like going forward? We talked for over 4 HOURS. This is what happens when sports nerds finally get to unload all of their thoughts for the first time in a long time.
Needless to say, this is a two-part episode and the second half will be up tomorrow!

The last movie of our annual Movie May spectacular finds us back in some familiar territory: talking about Adam Sandler! And before you give us some shit, this totally counts as Movie May because that's when we recorded it! Boom!
This time we are talking good Sandler as Howard Ratner, a gambling addicted jewelry dealer in the Safdie Brothers 2019 crime thriller 'Uncut Gems.'
Sandler was good but what and who else stood out? Is it a stressful movie or are have we become accustomed to movies with no stress level?
