The Occasionalists Podcast

Like a lot of people out there, we are kicking off our new year at The Occasionalists with some fitness talk! 
We're not necessarily giving advice or breaking down our routines, though some of that does get discussed. Rather, we're focusing on our personal paths to becoming healthier, motivations to get fit and even throwing in some entertainment media that gets us ready to workout. 
Let's roll!

The second part of our Year In Review focuses more on the pandemic and the lasting effects we think it will have on various segments of society. We also cover some of our favorite topics from the last year of The Occasionalists and we discuss some other pieces entertainment media that we enjoyed or discovered in the last year.
After this episode, we can all turn the page on 2020.

What better way to finish off the year than with a mega sized, year in review episode with two special guests!? You're right, there is no better way! Chemma and I are joined by longtime friend and former host Dennis Kisela and 2/3 of Greg Cherry's attention!
In this first half we mostly focus on how things have gone for us in the past 12 months and what if anything we can take away from all the garbage that happened. 
We do get into some entertainment topics as well but the bulk of the first part is more personal. 

What better way to cap off our last singular topic episode of the year than with a little war talk? Specifically, what the next Civil War could look like. It's 2020 and there's still a few days left, don't sleep on an armed, domestic conflict starting before January 1st.
But is it even possible? Does the rhetoric we've heard in recent years about the political and philosophical divide in the country amount to a "Civil War"? 
If there was an armed conflict, what would it look like and how would it unfold?

We finish out our fall sports mega episode with some talk about the local teams!
The always influx Indians, the burgeoning Browns, and the completely anonymous Cavaliers. 
Who are we down on? Who are we riding with? Who's on the Cavs again? Find out! 

After the strangest year of sports in a long time, we huddled up to breakdown how the major sports handled their respective seasons in the face of the coronavirus. 
The various leagues gave us plenty of hits, misses and weird stuff we'd never seen before. Will we see any of this again?

When we first got together to do our election episode, there was still no projected winner of the Presidency. While the hyper conservative media creates an alternate reality in which Donald Trump won reelection, we now know Joe Biden was proclaimed President-elect. 
So now that we know that, we can round out election discussion with a quick 20 minute wrap up!

Part two is a little bit lighter as we discuss the Presidency, undecided voters and we appoint ourselves to an important position that sets standards for the entertainment industry: The Entertainment Czar.
