The Occasionalists are back!
After a nice summer break filled with travel, friends and catching the coronavirus, we are back to officially start Season 7 with one of our favorites, 5 Good Topics.
Welcome back everyone, we have a great season in store for you!

The Occasionalists are about to go on summer break but before we do that, Chemma and I hopped into the proverbial time machine to take a look at the year 2060.

Back-to-back sports episodes? You bet! 
In this episode, Chemma and Pags square off with a gauntlet of unique, quirky sports trivia that pulls out a great sports discussion.
We formulated 12 of our own questions of varying degrees of difficulty that touched on all major sports as well as some sports adjacent topics.

It's time for another sports episode! 
We're talking two-way baseball players, the NFL offseason, the futility of being a basketball fan and when we should think about buying new Cleveland Named-To-Be-Determined baseball jerseys. Among other things.

We are back to wrap up another awesome Movie May with a look at one of the very few short film anthologies available on any platform: the Netflix original Love Death + Robots.
We take on both seasons of the animated shorts and discuss our favorites, least favorites and the noticeable shift in identity and maturity between the seasons.
We also pick out a few films we think are worthy of some sort of expansion, be it television or a full feature.

We are continuing our short film centric Movie May with Chemma's additions to the festival! In this episode we take a look at movie with some legitimate star power, the shortest film ever nominated for an Academy Award, and a film that feels a little too real after having lived through 2020.

We are back with another edition of the 24HR Movie Review Challenge, this time with blood and guts to spare as we take on the Mortal Kombat reboot!
Does this movie kick ass? If so, how much ass does it kick? And who kicked the most ass?
Is this a proper homage to both the video game and the beloved (bad) original? 
Did they finally figure out how to make a good video game movie?
